My Makeup Journey

I wasn't supposed to get this invested in makeup. In fact, when I first bought makeup, it was a joke. I was a 15-year-old girl who had just begun high school, who thought makeup was stupid. I bought it to make a YouTube video and make fun of how poor my skills of applying makeup were. Now it is no longer a joke.

I have invested thousands of hours and dollars into this craft to create the looks on my page, which I am now showing off. And I'm not even turning this passion into a career. To be honest, that's quite insane given the amount of money I have spent to not even be close to mastering this craft. However, it makes me happy, and it's one of the many creative outlets that keep me sane.

A Vision

A lot of ideas for my looks are based on films or other makeup looks I've seen and want to try out. Sometimes they are from trends on social media.

Then there are the other looks that come to me in dream format. Yes, I am being completely honest with you. Nonetheless, I feel like having inspiration is how I create my best looks. While drawing out the ideas not only helps me understand what I want in the look, but it also helps me explore them further. And I know this is something every artist does by getting inspo pics and such, but for me drawing out the look is where the real magic happens.
